I had no idea this Japanese restaurant was in the Cipriano shopping center but I will absolutely be returning. As a lover of nigiri, I thought the fish was fresh and I got good value for my money. I look forward to returning and trying more of the menu.

Glad for some vegetarian options. Nice little place, warm and inviting. Veg bento box was a cool option you don't see everywhere. Their tofu teryiaki is very tasty- a rich dark flavor that's better than most basic teriyaki one gets. Veg Sushi is solid but nut not stellar. We'll definitely put this in our close to home rotation. Don't be put off that it's in a strip mall, it's nice inside and the food and service is good.

I finally made it there to dine in! Osaka is one of two extremely close (walkable) sushi joints to my house. A friend was visiting and we decided to dine in. The interior is as nice as I remember, and we got seated immediately. I didn't realize just how much food they have beyond sushi, wow! I tend to love seaweed salad and avocado salad, and I saw that they had 'seaweed avocado' -- I had several visions of what it could be, but decided to order it and be surprised. When it arrived, it was literally the seaweed salad with a whole avocado (I think) chopped up in it. Perfect for me! It has been years since I last got a bento box -- specifically from this lovely food truck in DC -- and I opted for Box B. There are 4 options, all hovering around $20 or so. Mine had sushi, salmon, gyoza, fried shrimp, and more. It was a lot for one sitting -- if I hadn't had the seaweed avocado, I probably could've finished. But my my it was good! And here I thought I had almost everything, getting through many sushi rolls... but I have to return and explore even more of the menu. By the way, they have beer, wine & sake!

Perfect place for a business lunch. The service is nice and fast! The food is tasty, the sushi was fresh and there's plenty of tables for small groups to chat and meet over a good meal. I'll be back for more work lunches.

My friend recommended this spot for sushi so we figured we would try it out. The place looked clean but we were just doing take out. We saw couples and families and friends there so it's good for small or big groups. Our wait was only about 15 minutes which isn't bad for take out so we were happy with the service. Our fish to rice ratio was to our liking and the miso soup was tasty. We will definitely be ordering from here again. Definitely try the shrimp tempura and the yellowtail and scallion rolls!

Best Japanese restaurant I have visited in years. Excellent fresh sushi, and today I tried for the first time their food. 10/10 Service is friendly but not over-attentive. I like the care, but yeesh, can a sister eat in peace?? We arrived at 11am and slowly started to see customers arrive and enjoy their food. It is a small space, but you can come with a party of 10; I saw a table set up for that size. The dishes were well seasoned but not salty. Meals came with soup and salad. We left satisfied and with to-go boxes. The size of each dish was appropriate for the price. I'll be back for more OSAKA

Having just heard the congratulations of sensei turned acupuncturist Master Chow (played by Michelle Yeoh) minions Kevin, Stuart, and Bob rush out the door, giggling with pride, thinking they have become Kung Fu masters when, in reality, they were only going to receive their Junior Kung Fu Achievement Badges. But do not fear. Cornered in the alleys of San Francisco by the magically-transformed members of the Vicious Six, Kevin, Bob, and Stuart "find their inner beast" and find themselves magically transformed into a hare, a goat, and a rooster, each with individualized finishing moves that summon their Kung Fu training. But what if, instead of having to travel to San Francisco to rescue the 11 3/4 year-old Gru from the clutches of Wild Knuckles, Kevin, Stuart, and Bob journeyed to 8855 Greenbelt Road in Greenbelt, Maryland? If they were hungry for sushi, and naively mistaken that they could be trained in the stealth arts of Ninjutsu, they might end up at Osaka Japanese Restaurant, ordering unforgettably decadent and/or succulent Unagi Crunch Rolls, Volcano Rolls, Lion King Rolls, Manhattan Rolls, and, yes, for the Master Chow connection, San Francisco Rolls.
